Text to Speech: Voice Reader

Very affordable for getting good and easily comprehensible native speech. Works really well compared to other available products for copy/paste TTS and is a reasonable price point. Just wish it could do about two and a half times the length restriction because I am often needing to cut documents in half for recording. Most one hour class sessions will fit in two TTS recordings

First - great job with the voice prints. The articulation is spot on for being system generated. There may be some tweaking needed to get the best articulation, pauses, and emphasis applied. The input is clean and the exported wav files are crisp and ready to use on your project. To get started, I recommend creating a new folder in the app. Call it something like “My TTS Test”. Next, with the blank canvas, type in your text. If you have having trouble playing the text to speech, check to make sure you have selected the voice print by clicking on the voice icon to the right. Additionally, move the curser back to the front of your text in the text box. And then try playing the TTS again. Additionally, I would recommend saving often. Like noted before, there are some quirkiness to the app and it is flakey on forgetting what you typed or playing what you typed. I give it 5 stars, even with the hiccups, because of the impressive voice prints and exceptional export to WAV format. I am willing to bet that with encouragement and feedback, the developer will improve the User Interface and the User Experience. If you disagree, good luck in writing your own TTS app and do not knock someone who is trying to make a difference by developing an app.

What is the use of having this app if I have to pay for it instead of a one time only deal. It’s a rip off. You can only play the voice once or if that before you have to pay for it. Or whatever. So you can only listen to what you said on typing it in and after you listen to it for maybe once or if that maybe twice if you are lucky. Before you have to pay. Not even good enough to try the app out for a day or two. If a app lets you try it for atleast a day without signing up for the free trial then or for anything it’s most likely a good app. Amy app that makes you sign up for a free trial for a few days end s up being not that good of an app. Found a lot like that that was just a waste of time. Like this app. If the people who made this don’t like what people said they shouldn’t have made it or even have a comment section.
