App Profile: CoMote

CoMote is an application that transmits the smartphone movement sensors values (accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers) in real time using WiFi. Connected to applications such as CoMo or Koral, the smartphone becomes a gestural musical instrument, enabling sounds to be triggered and modified by movement.
Setting the WiFi network parameters is made easy by using a QR code generated by the application. The CoMote application can be used with any software that uses the OSC protocol or Websockets.
CoMote is being developed by the Interaction-Sound-Music-Movement team at IRCAM (STMS-lab Ircam - CNRS - Sorbonne University) in partnership with the association Arts Convergences.
