Wonder - AI Art Generator

As long as you’re paying it’s one of the best ai image apps out there, and I won’t complain about pricing, just features. As many other reviews mention it is hard to get a 100% perfect image, and I’m mostly okay with that. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned are the art categories. I find the names of about half of the categories to be very misleading. For example “animation” and “animated character” are always realistic. Some categories also have a hard time NOT generating people like “novelistic”. I think they should add more in depth descriptions of each category, and also a way to favorite them. When an image is generated there is an option to edit by adding things to the side with a new prompt. This rarely ever has a desired result, and instead makes the image blurry. It also changes the original image slightly depending on the prompt you gave. I like the concept of this, however the only way to do it is by generating an image. You can’t simply just insert an image and edit, you have to put in a prompt FIRST, which may vastly change the original image. Finally what’s the deal with the animate feature? All it does is create a video of you putting in the prompt and getting your results with music added. It’s just weird. I thought you could somehow animate the image itself but that doesn’t seem possible yet. I hope wonder does eventually add that as a feature, maybe even the ability to just put in a prompt and create a short animation from it Either way I still enjoy the app, and those are just issues I think they should fix.

Wonder is a great name for this application. Once you get the hang of it, you can create what you are looking for… almost. There is a necessary randomness to the results, and this means that you might have a 99% perfect image, and that other 1% ruins the piece… Wonder would benefit from being able to use an existing image, and re rendering it with a secondary input, or perhaps re-rendering a troublesome region. A beautiful woman with 11 fingers on one hand just doesn’t do it for me. Wonder has a pretty hard time with the human body for obvious reasons if you think about it… extra limbs are one example. Missing limbs are another. Wonder produces and manages images in pairs… why this is, I don’t know. I like that it does two at a time, but after they are rendered, I do NOT like having to publish both images. Images should be treated individually after rendering. Wonder also forgets what prompt you gave it last if you have to restart. It should always populate the prompt with the last used prompt on start (to aid in crash recovery if nothing else) Finally, Wonder used to lock up pretty regularly… though it seems better lately. But all of that aside, it’s a brilliant tool capable of astounding results.

So, I’m new to this whole A.I. Art thing but the recent controversy surrounding this (slightly new) technology caught my attention and curiosity. So amidst all the hype I decided to check out a few. As a 2D and 3D artist, I tried a few of the more popular A.I. apps to see I’m truly at risk of being replaced by a computer. After a few hideous creations on various platforms (because I didn’t understand the whole prompt thing,) I found Wonder out of Nowehere. Gave it a 3 day try and figured after that I’d walk away like the rest. Didn’t expect to not only enjoy the app and different art styles and variations, I found this app to best suit creating concept art for my projects. The results are amazing and I stay consistently surprised by the different results when I type in very unique and creative prompts. As an artist, when I need to study lighting, symmetry or even background ideas, this app has become my number one go to. I used to scour pinterest for ideas from everything to costume ideas, sci fi stations, satellites, or even simple bg perspective. This app does that and I can type exactly what I’m looking to be inspired by and get direct results after a few tries and re-writes. I’m not afraid of being replaced anytime soon as this is yet another tool Im going to add to my creative arsenal. All for concept art before hand drawing a final render for now as I await how A.I. art will pan out legally…but so far I’m digging this for dope inspiration.
