The app is really easy to navigate and it has everything you need to control your JBL 500. And with the new equalizer upgrade it’s much more useful in tailoring your sound bar and subwoofer as the original equalizer controls. The latter was ok but the upgrade was definitely a plus in the Technology Department for integrating a much more useful equalizer. The ability to raise or lower 7 frequency bands plus or minus 12db independently gives the user more flexibility to format the sound to their liking. I myself like to take it a step further and use various on line frequency generators to assist in setting the supplied JBL frequencies to the best room equalization. Keep up the good work!!

This app is beyond functional. Stereo pair? You got it. Multi room? Sure. Use my phone to control audio streaming from my iPad or Mac? Yup. Tidal Connect?? Effortless, greatly extended my phone battery life compared to AirPlay, and even better sound quality. 7-band EQ on Tidal on my phone??! WHAT?! I went out right away and bought a 2nd Boombox 3 WiFi only two days after getting my first. Hah, ya got me JBL, clever marketing… and my kitchen sounds like an auditorium now. TEN BILLION STARS! Flawless and simple to use app. Thanks JBL! You’ve changed my life and finally made my dreams come true. This is a gift unlike any other. WiFi HIFI. Tears of joy.

I have now bought and returned the boombox 3 WiFi thinking it was a defect, but now with my second unit, the problem still persists. I will play music via airplay, and the music will randomly stop being received at the boombox. No music, just silence, but when I go to my phone, or iPad (second device I tried during my troubleshooting) the music still says it’s playing, and the progress bar of the song is still moving as if it’s still playing. Still says it’s connected to the boombox 3 via airplay and WiFi, yet the transmission seemingly just stops randomly with no rhyme or reason. I have tried multiple devices, as well as multiple WiFi networks with the same result. It is infuriating. Unit, devices, and even a new wireless router have been replaced. Updates on router, devices, app, and boombox 3 WiFi are up to date. Any manufacturer fix or advice would be greatly appreciated.
