After initial problem to activate App whilst on recent trip away I returned to UK & App Store offered iOS upgrade. After clicking button within App to update I was locked out & PIN entry causes App to crash. After attempts to re-enter PIN then reset password which failed several times & eventually I was forced to delete App & start again. Whilst insurance charges are cost effective I have ONE criticism of charge calculation. Cancellation & curtailment cover MUST always extend to end of calender month. So if holiday ends on 1st of month the charge continues till month end. No pro rata daily calculation as at start of cover 😖
The set up was fine. You need to remember to switch location services on so that the app can switch your travel insurance on when it knows you are abroad. Really good price for the basic cover at £1 a day. We're only going to Palma for a couple of days so it’s great for us. I'll report back once we see the app in action whilst travelling! So far so good 👍
I take a lot of long weekends away last minute and Wapp is great for that. No need to work out where/when I’m going, or if I change my plans. The app simply notifies me when I land that I’m covered and again when I get home. Majority of my travel is to Europe, but if I head to the US I’m only charged the days I’m there. Not trying to guess if I’ll travel outside of Europe when I buy annual travel insurance for a year ahead.
Wapp is removing its travel insurance product from the UK market on 30th November 2024, so you won’t be able to get travel cover with us We're proud...
