It’s a cash grab. The game uses an energy point system. When you start the game they give you 300 points. This was enough energy to get me through the first 3 scenes or the equivalent of a short preview in a paid game. After that the game gives you options. You can wait to accumulate energy points or you can purchase them. -You accumulate 20 point every 2:30 hours or about 200 points (about 10 minutes of game play) for every 24 hours. -or you can purchase energy. The cheapest option is 210 points for $2 up to 3000 for $20. There are many F2P games that let you play at your own pace with options to buy hints, skip games, or additional content (though you need not purchase any of them to complete the game). There are also excellent paid games that include unlimited hints, skips, and additional content for about $7 (a great option for games you want to play again or share) This game is not really designed for free play and is ridiculously overpriced especially when you consider that the energy you purchase will not allow you to replay the game.
Game is fun. Not a fan of the energy since you can’t tell how much you have left while playing until you run out. I did pay for more energy a couple times. However, BEWARE. Game lost all my progress. I finished the main game and was well into the bonus chapter. It had trouble loading one day or two. Then finally, on a day it loaded, it completely reset. I would recommend buying a full game instead of energy because of this glitch.
I actually really like the game. Any f2p is appreciated and I don’t mind the energy thing. Only issue is that twice now it’s restarted the game without asking so I have to start from the beginning. Besides that, lots of fun.
