The AR experience is super smooth. Setting up (just scanning the floor) took seconds and the snake navigates obstacles and the environment really well. I’m really impressed how easy and intuitive it is to play.
This definitely one of the coolest AR apps out there. Both games are super fun but I really love Chomp Chomp—the use of the real-world obstacles makes it interesting to play in lots of different places. Plus multiplayer! So cool! I hope they add more games soon.
I’ve tried a lot of AR games, but most of them don’t really take advantage of the surroundings. I like that in these games I can use pillows or chairs as obstacles. These are both fun one player games, but I like them best as multiplayer. The snake game in multiplayer is super fun if you have a space with obstacles and places to hide. We’ve tried it both inside and outside and enjoy both. The one place you can’t use it is on a train or in a car (it must use gps for the AR). One other note. We first were always using the card to get multiplayer games set up, but scanning the floor works just fine.
