I run a $12M concrete and paving company out of Dallas. For years I was juggling Chase for banking, Amex for cards, some janky AP tool my bookkeeper found, and a “private banker” at Wells who ghosted me unless I was depositing over $500K. Flex replaced all of it. Credit lines that actually make sense for my business, bill pay that doesn’t make me want to throw my phone, and the AI stuff (Beacon) legitimately caught a duplicate vendor invoice my controller missed. Saved me $38K on day one. My only complaint is I didn’t find this sooner. My buddy in logistics has been on it for six months and never told me. We’re not friends anymore. (Kidding. Mostly.) If you’re a business owner doing $5M-$100M and you’re still duct-taping together five different finance tools, just download this and thank me later.
I’ve never rated a bank or credit card app before as I’ve never been very impressed with the design or the level of service provided. Flex stands out in both, and instead of being frustrated trying to manage business finances, it feels relieving and simple; I can focus on running and growing my business.
I gave them two stars because the user interface is very good. I love how it breaks down spending and let’s me give cards to my employees and restrict their spending as well. Outside of that they aren’t great. I would even venture to say not good. I got the card because they promised to work well with small businesses like mine. I was told over the phone to keep my usage above 80% to build credit with them and get higher limits. I followed their instructions and they promptly CUT MY CARD OFF AND MADE ME SIGN A PERSONAL GUARANTEE! I’ve had several conversations with them over the phone and only one of those calls have been helpful. Everyone else sounded like I was bothering them just because I called. This is not a good company to do business with. I’m paying this card off and sticking to my usual sources of business credit. Got this for the convenience of not having to call people and set up net 30 accounts anymore and they have made it where I’m constantly calling them about issues with my Flexbase account instead. Not worth it. Move on and find a competitor.
