AppReview Update in Re: Dev’s response to my initial review: ***I redownloaded this app after reading Dev’s response and learned that I can indeed review local news items as well as promotional entries without registering. The news stories mirror some local events as reported by the local fish wrap, er, ah, newspaper. Anyway, it’s only fair to admit when you’re wrong and I was mistaken — sorry. Developer, I do have a suggestion for app improvement for users like me who want to use your app on iPad with landscape display mode. Please consider adding this tweak and you may have a winner. Why on earth is that required, Developer? Basically, this seems to be a community based advertising venue for local businesses to flog their wares and services with a dusting of local attractions,promotions, coupons and events — kind of what you would find in a local giveaway paper advertising tabloid (which does not require any personal info and can be used later to light a fire in one’s woodstove). I invite the developer to comment below on this review by SPECIFICALLY and fully explaining why registration and login is required and why turning over contact info to advertisers is beneficial for users — me, I don’t want anymore spam and prefer to do my own outreach to local businesses and service providers.

One App that has everything you need to support local businesses and provides great news and calendar content at the same time businesses can connect directly with clients and promote their businesses with mayby proximity.
