I have been using this app for a few weeks to gauge levels of lighting and I have to say it does a great job. My next task is to compare the results against a calibrated light meter to see how close this is. I have the the impression it is going to be fairly accurate. I like the companion app that tells me the temperature of light as well. Very handy for video and photography to match color.

I never really saw any value to this app. It didn’t seem to matter whether the reading was on top of the table in direct view of the light source or under the table almost completely blocked from the light source, the readings were identical. I provided feedback to the developer about a year ago or so and haven’t heard any suggestions as to what the problem might be. I apologize for the 1 rating, zero was not available.
