Rank One

The Rank One app is incredibly helpful for managing school sports and activities. As a parent and volunteer, I love how easy it is to check schedules, complete forms, and get updates from the athletic department. Everything is organized and accessible from my phone. No more searching through emails or paper handouts. The interface is clean, and notifications are timely. This app has truly simplified communication between schools, coaches, and families. Highly recommended for any district using Rank One.

The school changed to this app this year after using SportsYou last year. What a letdown. I’m assuming the school was trying to go with a cheaper app. You get what you pay for in this instance. From the start the coaches have been unable to post the volleyball schedule (still not posted for parents). The most aggravating thing is not receiving notifications from the app. Whenever the coaches post an update about a game or what time we are to meet we do not receive a notification. Not a badge notification, banner, sound, nothing comes from the app except an email. I do not have sound notifications for my email or my phone would be going off all the time. I check my email one time a day, because it is generally bill receipts from our auto drafts or junk mail. The emails from rank one simply state ‘there is a new message for you from rank one. Please go to the rank one app to read it’. I contacted the people who run this app and the first thing they said, ‘we haven’t experienced any problems. It must be my notifications turned off on my phone’. They sent me a message on how to turn my notifications on. However, that was not the problem. My notifications are on and no other app is giving me this problem. I screen shot several messages from my husband, our kid, coaches, and other parents stating they were not receiving notifications from the app and sent them to the tech people for this app. They said they would look into it. Not long after, I received another message telling me everything was fixed. Not the case, it has NEVER been fixed. The same people, including myself, still do not receive notifications from the app, we only receive emails. It is very frustrating! Filling out the online forms were equally frustrating, because information would disappear and I would have to redo it. When I first set up the app, it took days for it to find my kid, because it kept saying “student not found”. I hope and pray the school does not choose to use this app in the future.

This app was perfect for me. I was able to upload my images of my physical and my insurance card super easy. It was also cool how I could do signatures on the website and the forms were checked quick, even though I did the form same day as I joined the team when I went up to the coach. The forms were already approved and I was able to join the team. 100% recommend super easy super quick. ❤️🫡
