ideely: Simple Budget

I have tried many budgeting apps including the new ones that people rave about (Monarch, Copilot, Rocket, mint before it shut down, etc.). I’ve found myself spending more time fixing the “automation” in those apps than I do manually inputting with ideely. The speed you are able to input while easily being able to categorize how your money spent makes this graph the best budgeting app I’ve used. The graph is extremely helpful in allowing you to see your spending trends. This app is the perfecting budgeting app!

I have tried multiple budgeting apps and I have not liked them. I switched over to my own Excel spreadsheet for a few years and I never thought I would use anything else. I love my Excel budget but my husband suggested we use this app to be on the same page with our budget. I was surprised by how much I like it. I like that it is simple and customizable. Other apps I’ve used input my finances but don’t categorize them well or aren’t as customizable. With ideely, you can sign up for reminders to update your budget and input your items, which helps to know what’s going on with your bank accounts. I feel like it helps us to allocate all income coming in, which has helped us save money and hold us accountable for not going over budget. I would really recommend this budget app for anyone who is a little annoyed with all the other apps because of the simplicity and the ability to customize for your needs.

My wife and I started using this app when we wanted to start itemizing our finances as we were attacking debt aggressively after recently being married. It was exactly what we needed in order to know how every single dollar was spent and to know how much money we had left over to put towards our debt! This app helped us to stick to our budget and get ahead. Hats off to the creator of this app!
