The Prax: Budget Tracker

Love the simplicity of this app. It is perfect for my wife and I to manage individual budgets, a family budget, etc. Best features - ability to create a simple monthly recurring budget, and to share & collaborate specific budgets with anyone. Only gripe is that the app uses iCloud for data storage. This is great for an individual budget, and smart for sharing with others (you are essentially just sharing the file)… but the problem is that updates are not always synced in real time. Would be nice to have an option to use Google Cloud or Dropbox for instance, and have the app pull/push whenever the budget changes.

I never rate or review but I need to thank you for making this app. “Automated” budget technology that reads your bank account and whatever else does not mesh at all with my budgeting style. They can never reliably exclude charges I’m already budgeting for in my living expenses and give me an accurate idea of how much I have to spend for fun - I much prefer to make those calculations on my own, so I just need a simple tool I can punch “i spent money” into. And that’s exactly what this app is! Simple. Functional. Awesome.

Can't say how many “Budget” apps I've tried. Never could find one that had custom dates. All force monthly 1st to 30th, Credit Cards don't go from 1st to 30th. With custom date I can have a True Budget. i.e. 01/25 to 02/26 for instance. And so simple, no bells and whistles, Just set spending amount, and deduct expenditures (or add credits). or keep track of what you spend on.... add a category and track what you spend. i.e. groceries or fuel, or both. Thank you, this is a keeper.
