Mergest Kingdom: merge puzzle

I’m at level 19 and all along I’ve had the option to watch a video to help complete tasks or get an extra item to merge. However today in an attempt to complete regular tasks the first one in each world, there is three of them! The game is attempting to force an advertisement even when it’s not indicated. I’ve force closed the app and reopened it the attempt it again to continue being forced to watch an add. I let one add play through on the main world and it stopped forcing the adds for every task. It seems to be doing the same thing on the other two worlds as well. So I won’t bother with them any longer. When it has been optional up to this point! If it starts to force the advertisement on the main world again I will just delete the game. I don’t mind watching an advertisement when it’s my choice but being forced I quickly lose interest in continuing the game. It has been fun up to this point. Update: after submitting this review and returning to the game it’s back to forcing the advertising when it shouldn’t be an advertisement related task. I’m done playing this game for this morning and will try again later today or tomorrow. However if it continues this glitch I have no choice but to delete this game as well.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this game is really fun! There’re a lot of different things to work on. And I haven’t had any problems with spam e-mails and I’m usually on the leaderboard. I’ve seen the exact review-word for word-regarding that issue on several different game reviews. So I don’t think it’s really an issue. The ONLY thing that kind of bugs me are the random new items that don’t really go anywhere and just take up space, which is the other thing that bugs me. There’s NEVER enough room!! But, that’s the case in every similar game, so I don’t hold it against this game. You should try it and judge for yourself. It’s a fun game, stress free. 😊

I’d like to start out by saying that both the visuals and the mechanics of normal gameplay are excellent, and give hours of entertainment for a patient and methodical person. I am a definite fan, and appreciate how much work went into the art and coding. The events add interest and prevent waiting for buildings from becoming monotonous. Genuinely, this game is beautiful, fun, and relaxing. One suggestion about normal gameplay is an option to turn off the background animations. There are sparkles and movement for squares that aren’t even unlocked yet. This taxes my (new!) phone and causes it to heat up. But here’s what spurred me to leave a review in the first place: The advertisement update is testing my tolerance. The bank is just… real classy, y’all. Putting features that were previously free behind an ad wall makes me wish I could just remove the bank entirely. I no longer want it if there’s strings attached. The cinema takes up FOUR squares of space! There’s no way to remove it! The ads don’t even play, or load in a ‘close’ button, forcing me to restart the game to clear the screen! I don’t begrudge you the advertising money, and was genuinely appreciative of the OPTION to support the game without spending my own money, but leaving me with no CHOICE but to watch ads only makes me annoyed and resentful. I get that this is a new update, and it needs some fine-tuning, so here I am leaving feedback. Don’t takes this as a ‘fix my ads please’ or ‘I’m throwing a tantrum and quitting’ but a ‘hey, there’s a lot of good here, and you may be threatening it with this new feature’. Y’all can pull this out of the fire. I believe in you.
