The Rugby Network

Sometimes it’ll work, but most times it’ll crash or just not connect to the internet, even though my internet works just fine. Every time I open the app I get an error message, telling me to check my internet connection. I’ll close the app and reopen it, and I get the same message. I’ll turn off my wifi and turn it back on, then open the app, and I get the same message. I’ll turn off my phone completely and turn it back on, then open the app, and I still get the same error message. The few times I’m able to open it without that error message, and I try to watch a live game or replay, then I’ll get another error message saying “can’t play at this time” or to check my internet connection. This app is no good, you’re better off using the website or using FloRugby.

I did not pay for this app because the app is not even half baked. But, good thing I didn’t. The dang Premiership Championship wasn’t even broadcasted. Y’all said this app would be free, then charged for it, monthly. Even the MLR games. THEN, you made only the MLR games free after the early backlash, which is not nearly enough in my opinion because not all of them were on here. Then, you said all of the premiership rugby games would be broadcasted…which was a LIE. A few Northampton games were not present, not including the final championship. Seriously, you killed rugby in the USA. Forget you guys.. I can’t wait for this app to be gone and MLR games to be broadcasted someplace else. I can’t wait for the premiership games to be broadcasted someplace else too. What a joke of a “service”.

This app does not have great playback functionality unless you want to watch games directly on your phone. I can AirPlay to my TV, but if I switch apps the playback pauses, and if I don’t have the app fully on screen on my phone for more than a few minutes, AirPlay stops completely and I lose the stream. I don’t experience this AirPlay issue with other video streaming apps. Odd that there’s no TV app for the rugby network.
