Strange Investigations 1: F2P

I’ve played a lot of games similar to yours, but the best part was when I ran out of energy and couldn’t play again until it filled up. It’s so difficult for me to walk away from playing, I’m enjoying it so much. I’ll be downloading it again in the future. Thanks!

I downloaded this game after playing and enjoying similar mystery games by a different developer. While the graphics are good and the story is interesting, I am a bit disappointed that this game was labeled “F2P” as it is not truly free to play. You have limited energy in this game, so when you run out, you can either wait until your energy refills (you gain 1 energy point every 5 minutes) or purchase more energy. Other games in this genre that are labeled “F2P” are truly free to play and do not run on a limited energy model. It would be nice if there were more ways to gain free energy (besides the free 20 points every 24 hours), such as watching ads.

I am happy to see a new series from this beloved developer. I enjoyed the storyline, and the one in the bonus adventure was both poignant and humorous. The general gameplay was fast-paced and addictive. There could have been a bit more innovation in both the HO scenes and the variety of puzzles and mini-games. I am tired of almost every puzzle being rotational in nature. Give us more art, knitting, coding, graphs, labyrinths and mazes. That’s what makes a game interesting. However, the quality assurance was excellent and the map functioned properly. It was a very brief adventure, and we need longer games for the price we are paying. I also did not appreciate the jump-scare with the rat in the opening scene. Remember, your target demographic is women over the age of 50! My rating will remain at 4 stars!
