This company has been extremely unprofessional. I applied back in December and was finally hired to start training on February 3rd. After my shift ended that day, I was told to return the next day for one additional day of training and that my actual work schedule would begin on Friday. I showed up Wednesday morning ready to work, only to find out that they had sent me a text 30 minutes before my shift saying that the client decided to terminate me. I was completely unaware of this message until I arrived. They claimed the termination was due to my “performance,” which made no sense because the job was very easy and I completed all of my assigned tasks without any issues. From my experience, it seems like they can let people go for any reason—or no reason at all. The floor manager, Victoria, came across as rude and bossy. She didn’t interact with me much, but her attitude and facial expressions were very unfriendly. On my first day, employees were openly talking about how two other people had been fired the day before I started. When I asked why, they said they had no idea and that people get fired there on a daily basis without explanation. Overall, this was a very disappointing and unsettling experience. The company that hired me was ID Logistics.
After a few jobs of swiping to be interested in and matched up with. In the course of a few weeks. I waited a to get a call. After a few different calls and text messages. The recruiter and I set an interview. I went and it went well. Until I was to be rushed to have the interview and orientation the same day. I didn’t have the opportunity to do both the same day because of private matters. I tried to explain that to Gladys and she became very defensive and guilt tripping. After I couldn’t attend the orientation the same day as the interview I told her that we’d have to revisit the situation. I was told I did a no call no show even after I asked to move orientation to a different day that wasn’t the same day I did the interview and I did show up for the interview, I was even told that she was sorry for rushing everything. Fast forward to present day and calling her again to set up the orientation or a different position. She became increasingly unprofessional, defensive, non-empathetic, down right rude. Getting loud with me saying I was arguing with her and cutting me off before I could explain anything or get anything out. if I could give this app and the team negative stars I would. Customer service skills need to be improved.
I’d like to start off by saying that I am grateful for this job opportunity. The team at Swipe Jobs did a very well done, from the interview to starting the position. Very professional staff, that assist you in getting a job. Especially if they see that you are serious, they will do their best to send your information right away to make sure you start soon. I came to the office was greeted with a warm professional welcome and was sat down to review the position and briefly what to expect to make sure if it was an opportunity I wanted to take on. I reassured them that this would be the best fit and I was available to start the first day of my scheduled shift. And they shared my information with the company, they had open availability the next day for me to go into the facility where I was going to be stationed to take a tour and have a Q&A session (I asked questions and the staff member giving the tour would answer the questions on the spot which I think they appreciated a lot)Tour was about 10-15 mins(not sure I lost track of time due to the couple of questions I asked and the thorough answers they had given as it relates to the position only).
