TRONITY

I’ve followed Tronity for almost a year. I eagerly anticipated getting going with it when my Audi e-tron GT finally arrived. To my dismay, I discovered that Tronity functionality is now limited to Europe. I couldn’t add my car to the app. I don’t know that Tronity can really be blamed for this, but it does make the app useless here. And that’s a shame, because the early curve of the US EV market could be a great way to watch data accuracy improve, and to allow early adopters to monetize their data. Oh well. 🤷‍♂️

Tronity needs to put a disclaimer that this app does not work outside of Europe for a lot of cars. When it did work ,prior to the european restriction, with my car I liked the app- but it’s useless now.

I own an ID.4 (and previously an e-Golf) and would be very interested in understanding vehicle data and performance better. However, this app apparently relies on We Connect to connect to the car, which VW doesn’t offer in the US. (I tried my Car-Net account, just to check and confirmed it doesn’t work).
