Miofive

It mostly does what it’s supposed to do, but it constantly asks you to create an account and to share location data. The dashcam itself already has location data, so I see no reason to give my phone’s location data to another company that’ll just sell it to the highest bidder, but this app *very annoyingly* requests location frequently and doesn’t give you an option to refuse - the only option is “okay,” which takes you into the Settings app. Fortunately you can just go back into the Miofive app and continue using it without actually granting location permission, but it’s still frustrating.

The app was working fine, then it stopped recording. Every time I hop in the car it says it’s recording, but when I try to find ANY current videos on the loop or local device, it has nothing. I’ve updated the app, but the firmware won’t update. It downloads to my phone then says “failed “ to upload to device. This is useless this way!

Paid to have it hard wired installed. But cannot get the iphone to sync with the app. Makes the system useless. Sorry about bad review.
