The MLB The Show companion app used to be an essential tool for managing my Diamond Dynasty inventory, but with each passing update, it feels less like a helper and more like a barrier. My frustration with the platform is growing. First, they artificially restricted us to listing only 20 cards at a time, which already felt like an unnecessary bottleneck for anyone trying to manage a collection. Now, following the latest update, there is a bizarre new restriction where you cannot place more than 10 orders without risking a suspension. I honestly have no clue what the development team is aiming for with these changes. These restrictions are effectively killing every legitimate, efficient way to flip cards and participate in the market. It feels like they are actively punishing the most engaged players who use the app as intended. If you're looking for a smooth experience to manage your team or work the market, this app has become more of a headache than a convenience. Please revert these arbitrary limits and let the players actually use the tools we were given
I used to use this app to flip silvers into golds, and was never punished for it. When the new game capped the marketplace at 20 orders, I quit that, and decided to just flip like most people do. Recently, I have been sorely mistaken in multiple ways. Number 1, the cost of the game and cost of stubs make getting stubs inanely expensive and difficult if you don’t play nonstop or buy stubs. This is an issue because it forces users to find other ways to make stubs. I was fine with this, because flipping cards wasn’t that difficult, but with the introduction of the throttled marketplace, everything has become much harder. Number 2, flipping has become impossible. Throttling the marketplace was almost pointless, as restricting bots also means restricting innocent players for flipping which is stated as being legal in the official MLB the Show forum. Bots already make it hard enough, driving the marketplace whichever way they want, but the addition of restricting players from using other methods like exchange flipping makes it impossible to make stubs through the market. The 20 card cap also prevents people from making major investments and so now almost all methods of stub making are gone. MLB the Show, PLEASE, either get rid of bots, or make the card cap higher. Leaving us with no way to make stubs only drives people away from the game.
Would give zero stars if possible! This game/app has been going downhill for years now. They are both buggy and continuously fail to log you in or just freeze. The company that makes this will never admit it but they have people who severely over or underbid in the marketplace to set to price where they want it because they don’t want us to be able to utilize the market like a real market to make stubs. They want us to pay REAL DOLLARS for stubs because they continue to diminish pack odds of getting the players we need for collections. We complain non stop to fix these issues but they ignore and continue to let the broken product ride out. This might be the last year for me. CFB 27 will be out soon and GTA 6 soon after that. Good luck in the future SDS!
