Sony read

To be honest, I’m a heavy gamer and I know I’m not the only one. The point of communities was to socialize with other gamers who were looking for the same thing as me, regardless if it was relating to gaming or not. It would be so dope to find communities of people who want to talk or play games in the same interest as you. But also at the same time it wasn’t just games, you could find communities in anything you like. For me, long boarding was the thing I have been trying to find people for, communities has been really helpful in finding groups of people who are down to do the same thing with you IN YOUR AREA, with mics!! Please playstation enhance this app, this could be future meta if you do it right. What I said prob won’t make sense, I hope it does but this is the next zoom JUST DO IT RIGHT!! Cmon!!!! Greatness in this app awaits!!

I agree with kaills

I concur with everything kaills said in his/her Review.. It’s a shame they discontinued the community app. Communities on the console has almost never worked for me, constantly lagging, never able to view photos or posts and is basically a black blank screen. I don’t use the playstation messenger app because it had bugged out my messages for a few weeks. Being a moderator in a 100 thousand member community and other communities with members in the 10’s of thousands, it has made moderating communities and removing any inappropriate posts virtually impossible. This app should be removed from the app store, it also begs the question why even have a Playstation app of any type?. Dang you Sony!!

It was great

Was an amazing app (maybe not quite 5 star but still wonderful) when they supported it. Never use the communities app on the PlayStation because it’s slow, a pain to try and post anything or write out messages, and I hate leaving whatever game I’m playing to check what was posted. Will most likely just leave the 2 communities I was in because I’m never going to check it on the console. My friends will just have to shoot me a direct message instead now I suppose. With the app I was able to check whenever I needed to (especially in the middle of gameplay to checkout a screenshot that was posted or whatever) even when I wasn’t even at home and near my PS4! It was a really nice way to keep up with everyone and update on what we were doing. If this app will no longer be supported or revamped to a new version it should be removed entirely from the App Store. Why keep it, let people install it and log in to their accounts just to have them delete it?
