Okay, so I've been using this app for about a year now and there has been no issues so far. You don’t have to pay for the items, it’s easy to set up, etc. Well, recently, that changed. Previously, anytime I set up there app icons, it would match them for me. For example, if I were to change the Snapchat app logo to a different color, I wouldn’t have to choose the Snapchat app, it would automatically pair it for me. But now, I have to do it myself, which is very frustrating. Now, I’ve been experiencing some glitches and bugs within the app. If you click a special section, such as wallpapers, app icons, etc. Nothing pops up! It is just a bunch of vertical rectangles, but they have nothing in them. They are basically empty showcases. Lastly, some of the app icons do not work. For example, if I have a special bookmark for the “phone” app, it doesn't bring me to the all, it says something around the lines of: Error 101: Page Not Found. Then, if I use the FaceTime app, it just pops up a random phone number and almost makes me call it!! It is very distracting in my opinion because it’s very simple to accidentally click the call button. Lastly, if I were to use the “camera,” app, it brings me to the shortcuts app, then the camera app. I’m not sure why, but that’s not really a big deal for me. I think only personal apps don’t really work with the shortcuts. For example, apps like phone or FaceTime, have my and others numbers, so that makes sense. Overall, these are some changes I would like in this app. These may seem like a lot of problems for a 4 star review, but as long as your not lazy, like me, then it’s worth 4 stars. P.S. So I read a lot of these reviews and most of them are complaining that it costs money. It actually dosen’t though!! If I were to get a bunch of widgets for my phone, it pops up that you “have” to buy it. But that’s wrong! If you click the small “X” on the top right, then it will exit out the payment pop-up and say something like: “Would you like to watch an ad instead?” If you click yes, it may give you a 10 second unskippable ad and then give your free item(s) you wanted.
Before I checked out this app, I looked at another rating that helped a lot and said that yes, it will ask you if you want to get premium at the start when you open the app but apparently people need to “open their eyes” and see that there’s a X at the top right. After you click on that X, it immediately transports you to where you can pick out your themes, wallpapers, widgets, and app fronts. Me being the huge animal crossing fan I am, went straight to games, and found the animal crossing theme. Heads up though, because in order to use the wallpapers or app fronts, you need to go to settings. With the widgets, if you want to replace your current unwanted widgets, first hold your finger on one of them, move them around, and click the minus sign on the top left of the unwanted widget. That will remove the widget. If you want to add your custom widgets, click the little plus sign in the top left of your screen, click on this app, and either use the small widgets or medium sized widgets. Once you do that, click on the widget you just created and select your downloaded widgets. As for the specifics on wallpapers, just go into your settings, click on wallpapers, and your downloaded wallpapers should be in your photos. Then, you can choose something for your Lock Screen, and something for your Home Screen, or even the same! the app fronts you ask? Well just go into this app, find the theme you want, and when you click the little “easy download” button, it should bring you there to ask what widgets, wallpapers, and app fronts you’d like to download. Just add a little check mark next to the app fronts you want, download them, and confirm them in the settings, voila! You’ve done all these steps and your platform is completely customized! I hope this has been a helpful review. (Btw my platform is iPad so my advice works best with it) 👋 ✌️
I got this app earlier today and it’s been pretty helpful. It’s really easy to use, and the icons are really cute. It took me about an hour to set up my new Home Screen; just getting rid of the og apps so I only have the icons but that’s expected when you download one of these apps. Another feature I really liked was the custom icon feature, I drew one for IbisPaint X since it didn’t have one so that I’d match the theme. After that I drew one for Locket; but here’s where my complaint comes in. When I went to add it, Locket didn’t show up in the custom apps so I spent all that time for nothing. So I’d just make sure to add more apps to the custom. Another complaint I have is the amount of ads, but you can pay for premium to remove them, and you’ve got to find your app somehow. Overall it’s a great app to get if you have a lot of time on your hands to edit your home screen, and it’d be unfair to give it less than 5 stars. I just ask you add more apps for the custom icons because I spent a long time on my drawing.
