Motive Fleet

Dealing with this company and the massive amount of technical issues and their terrible customer service and now add on an AI chat bot that gate keeps your ability to reach a real person and you have created the worst customer experience imaginable. Absolute hate this company on a personal level. Have had so many bad experiences I can’t even list them all. Not to mention the safety provided by this companies garbage AI dash cameras that can’t read a license plate in broad daylight 2 feet in front of you and it’s a complete joke. Literally criminal what they claim their AI cameras can do vs what garbage quality you actually get. This is a massive step backwards in the safety of everyone on the road. As a company owner who hires 30 drivers I would never trust my life and safety to this company nor their devices to function when needed most. Would rather go get a root canal than deal with this company. I legit fear for the safety of everyone on the roadway. Motive is doing such a disservice over what should be expected as bare minimum. At least the drivers really like the cameras tho. They can get away with murder and the AI won’t even know but as a company owner who wants to enforce a level of professionalism and safety standards this camera does you zero favors.

I was recently on a contract with motive using their ELD and camera package. I was involved in a pretty serious six truck accident where I have multiple broken bones. I only have one truck so the company was temporarily shut down while I healed. I paid the monthly bill the first couple of months, but tried to explain to motive that I was unable to make the payments as my business just started, and I’m unable to work. After explaining that’s a little bit of money that I had was all that I had for food in my home bills and even had money sent from family. They continue to take the payment out. I understand that I had a contract, but at some point, you have to have a heart and I know that there’s no heart in business however two or three months of service when it’s not even being used it’s not that much to you guys, however, it meant the world to me. Technically I guess they did nothing wrong. I just expected a little bit of compassion. I would never use this company again and I advise anyone reading this not to also.

Our fleet recently signed on with KT after trialing multiple providers. The KT Fleet app launched within our trial and was something we knew we needed from our ELD provider. The app is new and still has features to be desired, however even in v1 stage it’s an absolutely game-changing tool for our fleet managers to have. Feature suggestions: - show last active/ most recent driver on truck list (currently it only shows the driver name if they are on-duty.. otherwise it will just show truck #). This becomes confusing if you have many trucks. - Search a driver by their name in the app even if they aren’t currently on-duty. Currently only on-duty drivers are searchable, which means you can’t look up a drivers logs, last location, or even contact them while they are off duty/ in sleeper. - on the default view of the map(shows entire USA), it groups all your trucks by location and creates a cluster icons to show you how many trucks you have within an area. I understand this is for the purpose of not having an overwhelming amount of individual truck dots on the map, however the location grouping is a bit deceiving. It will have an icon with x number over California, making it appear that x trucks are in Cali... however when you zoom in, the individual truck icons start dispersing from the numbered cluster and appear in a variety of states (all on the west coast, but not just Cali as the icon made it appear). Perhaps cluster by state or just make the individual truck dots smaller. - dashcam harsh event footage review would be amazing (similar to how it appears in the driver app). However right now it’s still accessible for fleet managers on mobile through email alerts & the KT website. I’m excited to see where the KT team continues to take this. Keep up the great work KT!! -LA
