Downloaded this app a month ago and have been loving it so far. Not only does it track my transactions far more accurately than any other app I’ve tried it’s the only app I’ve found that constantly tracks everything from my mortgage, savings, assets, debts, investments and super so I can see exactly where my finances stand at any given moment. Haven’t explored all the budgeting options yet as I am still working them out but so far I’m in love with this app and that’s something I wouldn’t think I would ever say about a budgeting app. Only thing that could make it even better would be to make the pro version free but at least I can say spending the money will give you an app that has all the tools to help you not only understand your finances better but show you how to improve your financial situation in a simple easy to understand format.
I have been trying this app for a few weeks and comparing it with other apps in the same category. This one updates information of your connected bank accounts more frequently than other apps. Of course, it will be better if we can have a sync button to refresh or update instantly all connected accounts in addition to the regular updates by this app itself. I wish this app can do automatic evaluations of assets. For example, it should be able to give a value of my house if I input my property address . Or it can show current value of my car if I provide details such as information on the car’s rego. At the moment, we can only type in assets value manually. I know this type of valuation is possible since another app can do this. Sadly that app can’t update information from connected bank accounts. So, there’s a room for improvement for this app WeMoney if the above mentioned assets valuation can be implemented. It will make it even easier and better.
No offence to all other budgeting apps out there, but after trawling through and connecting up more than five different apps to my accounts to check their functionality, this is the ONLY one that (on top of the standard banks and credit cards) integrates with CommSec and even investment apps like Spaceship. It’s therefore the only one that offers a truly holistic view of my finances - I’ve deleted all others now! Further, while I have yet to fully figure it out cause’ the budgeting widget is a bit confusing (would be great if y’all can build hover explainers over what all the terms really mean e.g. “Safe to Spend” - what does this mean?; “Exclude transfers” - transfers to, from, out of or within our own accounts..?), they give you the option to, when setting up a budget, exclude transfers - which, when I’m sorted, hopefully will mean that I stop seeing my internal transfers as “Money Out/Spent”, which all the other apps showed. This one piece is super helpful cause’ rendering internal transfers as money out literally negates any usefulness of these trackers (you’ll always be shown overspending and the numbers become meaningless!). Off to a great start, keep going!! Love your work, WeMoney.
