Sparklight TV

Sold by Sparklight as the one stop shop for all streaming. Not really …… interface is very unrefined. Hard to get to info about channel listing episodes. Numerous dropouts and lockups. Constant buffering and network errors even with Gig internet service. After having their cable service for years, it’s quite a letdown in service….. and still extremely expensive. Do better Sparklight.

I was a bit concerned about making the move to the Sparklight TV streaming solution given the reviews on the iPhone app. But after getting 3 TVs setup and working, the firetvsticks and remotes are working better than I expected. I am not using the iPhone app as my primary TV/streaming controller- using the firetvstick remotes for that (as that is how the system is designed).

This app is very unstable. Over an hour it may pause several times. Might even exit to having to open app again or get a screen that says “bebop bee bop something went wrong”. Sound will cut out for a couple seconds. No where near as user friendly as the box. I use Apple TV as my platform. I get 450 mbs cable speed. I get same issues on 2 TV’s; one direct cable connection the other Wi-Fi. I don’t have any of these issues with other apps i.e. Prime, HBO max, Netflix etc. I’m going to try Apple TV which has all but 1 Channel I watch. Sparklight TV app needs serious work. I can’t imagine HBO max releasing such junk as this.
