HiddenVault Secret Photo Vault

Hidden Vault is an excellent photo storage app. Features I greatly appreciate include how easy it is to use, it requires a password to open, and it saves/hides photos on your device rather than on a server somewhere (aka cloud). I’ve rated the app 5-stars, however I would remove half a star for a couple reasons. First, you have to sort your albums each time you open the app. That is to say if you sort them by date they do not remain in that sort the next time you open the app. Second, when sorting pics within an album, there is no custom sort option. There are preset sort options (alphabetical, date, etc). And likewise with albums, you have to sort the pics each time you open an album. Neither of these factors diminish the primary function of the app which is to save pics to a secure/hidden location. As a photographer I sometimes want to piece together a story using a collection of photos seen in a particular order. Currently, this presents a challenge within Hidden Vault. And perhaps this is a challenging feature to include from an app design perspective, although I can’t say with any certainty given app design is not anything I’m familiar with. Regardless, this is an excellent photo storage app that hits the mark on its main function!

I love this app! I’ve had it for quite some time now, and I haven’t had to think about looking for any new vault apps! I only gave it 4 stars because, the one thing I don’t like is, that it doesn’t give me the option to share pics or vids from my Google photos app. It only lets me transfer from my iPhones photos app. I have both iPhone pics and google photos apps on my phone, and it only allows the iPhone photos to transfer to the vault.. Otherwise I think it is an app that most people would definitely find useful!💯

So I’ll be honest I’ve been using a different app the past couple of months and have been actively searching for one that meets all my demands. It was hard finding an app that wasn’t run based off of ads and that’s what I love about this one so much. I would find an app and like it, but then things would stick out that I didn’t like. I can say honestly this is the best one I’ve found and the one I’ll be using from here on out. Kyle, excellent job man. Flawless app and design inside and out.
