We are here once again and enjoying a great vacation at the Marriott Aruba Surf Club. I have been an owner for over twenty years and now have both gold and platinum weeks so we can enjoy the beauty of Aruba year round. And now we just added a 3rd Gold Week to make sure we can bring extended family for two to three weeks.
I was greeted with helpful and pleasant young men as I drove up and they unloaded my luggage and groceries and stored them until I knew where my room would be. Once I had my room, all I had to do was let the bellmen know which room I had and walk to my room after self parking my car. I happened to meet the young man that delivered my bags and groceries as he was leaving and I was arriving, and was able to thank him. He had placed everything in my room and some things that should be refrigerated in the refrigerator. Upon entering at the VIP desk I was greeted by Janae and my stay was processed by her and another young lady. I was given the exact room location that I wanted in the Nai’a bldg and tons of information. Then she directed me to Janelle who reviewed with me all the nice discounts that were available and the rewards for attending an owner update. I couldn’t be more pleased with the whole process! So nice after a long day of flights and shagging luggage, picking up a car rental, and grocery shopping before arriving at my Marriott. A breath of fresh air! My room was immaculate and cool and the view was spectacular. I could view every sunset right from my balcony if I wanted. I needed one light bulb replaced and the time on my bedroom clock adjusted but was hesitant to ask because it was getting late … around 7 PM .. but the girl that I called said it would be no problem and within minutes Rowland or Ronald was knocking at my door and fixed everything. What great service and response! I can’t say enough about how my concerns were treated so promptly! Mahalo nui loa!
MVC has made some improvements, but the page to pay maintenance fees is a bug-ridden disaster. It’s now no longer possible to make payments using the app because the page displays nonsensical errors one after the other. Specifically, your billing address is Pre-populated, but with an error saying you need to remove any special characters, even if your address has no special characters or punctuation at all. Even if you delete and manually renter your address with no characters or punctuation at all (only letters and numbers), the error does not clear. Then there is a yes/no toggle that you have to switch to “yes” to accept their electronic payments terms, but even after you toggle it from “no” (the default) to “yes” the app displays an error saying that you need to select yes. Pretty major bugs.
