SDFX - Paint & Cartoon Filters

I was an early user of SDFX and the experience was rough. It was slow, clunky and there are many other tools that do most of this stuff faster and without a credits system. I would check in every month or so and recently found the updates to be more usable and dare I say fun? The app is a bit of a digital artist toolbox with a lot of options to choose from. The AI additions are fine, but are outclassed by a dozen tools that only do that. The app is still a bit of a pig when it comes to memory management, I am on a Mac Studio Ultra with 64GB of memory and effects still drag... cloud connectivity to their AI processing box on our Gig fiber connection fails at least half of the time. The reason to keep at it with SDFX is that they are trying hard and they made something different that has a ton of potential. I'll keep trying stuff and report back, but so far it's a C or B-

Two years ago, I started not liking this as much as its predecessor Paintnt. However, a number of new fiters, and AI based filters (some generative) have been added. I never had crashes (on the Mac version), and I don't mind paying the yearly fee. The only thing to complain about is that it is impossible to get any support since the e-mail the company gives as a contact doesn't seem to work.

I love this app. It has everything I want for composing art that I will later paint on canvas. And it keeps adding new filters that I hadn’t even imagined were possible. I love the controls as well and the AI possibilities are incredible. This is the one app that pretty much does it all and doesn’t require the computer ability needed for similar results in the professional prompt programs. I’ve subscribed to this app since it first was offered and I’ve never felt the need to add another.
