Passport Index

I only have one passport (so far) but it's been cool and fun to put it in here, see my (that is, my country's) mobility score, and enter the one international trip I've taken so far for which I have the dates ready to hand (because I have the visa stamps in my old passport). The only hitch I can think of that I've run into is the function that's supposed to allow you to scan the cover of your passport. It doesn't work for me; I'm thinking maybe it's not calibrated and focused for the iPhone 13 Pro Max's fancy camera. I have to hold the phone about three feet from the passport in order for the cover to fit into the viewfinder (that shouldn't be), and when I do, the image is grainy and somewhat out of focus and the app doesn't even try to capture the image. This camera is capable of capturing very high-quality images, but the app doesn't seem to be choosing and using its lenses correctly. But it's all fine in the end because there are good-quality cover images of lots and lots of passports already provided in the app, and the one for my country's passport looks exactly like the cover of mine except the printing looks white while the imprinting on the cover of my passport is a metallic gold. I don't know how useful and up-to-date the travel information is in this app, but it's a fun sort of novelty app either way.

It has a really good look, it’s fun to explore, and most importantly the information is really accurate and up to date, and shown in a way that’s easy to visualize. The few small issues I have are with the trips feature. First, you can’t enter a trip using the passport of that country. For example, if you are American living in Canada and you log a trip to the US, it won’t accept it because it’s a US passport. Only trips to foreign countries are accepted. I also noticed that Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, San Marino, and Vatican City are missing from the trips feature. It would be nice if these were added. It would also be nice if the cities in the trip feature were in alphabetical order. If it’s possible, it would also be great if the app could have some of the website features too, like viewing Dashboard for passports not on your profile, or the Improve tab, or the Travel Visa Checker. But it is overall a great app; would definitely recommend!

As a dual citizen who holds US/MEX passports I honestly say that Passport Index has done a good job in bringing a clean app with features that are enough to get you scrolling and expanding your citizenship portfolio in terms of obtaining dual citizenship or if you have multiple passports. Needless to say this would compete well against Hanley Passport Index, overall the app is good can’t complain though updates would be good in the long run!!
