Lost Lands 1

I’ve played a LOT of escape rooms puzzles including the Room Series (twice,) Mystic Mansion (going on the second time,) some of the Mystery Boxes, the Meridian games, the Machinika ones and several others. I have to say that I really enjoyed this one. I’ve also started New York 1, made by you guys and am quite enjoying that as well. I liked this game for many reasons, including the puzzles being a nice blend of challenge and easy, which is perfect for me. I also enjoyed the story line. Keeping track of the items and all the locations was super fun!! I understand that having “AH-mazing” graphics is expensive, and maybe that wasn’t in your budget, but the graphics worked just fine. Nice job you guys! I was happy to pay for “hints” when needed, both to entertain myself with continuing the game as well as support you guys. I’ll be on to Lost Lands 2 next!

Great game!! Challenging and entertaining! Its fun to explore so many cool new areas that are often so unexpected!! I love that you can feel challenged and still relax and enjoy yourself knowing it won’t take forever to move to the next challenge!! Good job developers!!!!! The Bremen Game is the ONLY other similar type game that I’ve enjoyed as much as this one!! Its not being extremely annoying, but for the excessive cost of “ hints”that is, makes it pretty much a thumbs up in my book!! I will add just a few minor cons. It would nice not to have to fully rely on your map and still not recalling what puzzle is where and the items needed. It’s so easy to get confused as to which items go where, where you should head next and where you were last, as it is a journey that ends quickly in each area and takes you in so many broken directions ….? 🤪 Its also a bit hard to know how far you can proceed in various areas without going so far that you can’t return to place various items you’ve collected and finish challenges. It would be a much more seamless progression if it were to have a “simple” check list of to do’s, what pieces are needed and the location before you leave the level incomplete…..or at least a basic reminder of what remains incomplete before you move forward and go to far. An easy access tab with pics of the location and items needed for a quick reference that you can use often would be sweet!!! There’s one thing we old folks tend to ‘forget to miss” and that’s our memories! 🤣 I would love to see the hints free of charge as the game is vague enough that unless you use them quite often you can easily miss something…and you can’t go back, at least to my knowledge. I like to complete my game 100%. 😉 Beyond that, thanks for a fun and addicting experience!!

As a free to play point and click puzzle game, I had low expectations for this. The game greatly surpassed those expectations! The background music is appropriate to the scene and well done, the graphical images are clear (pinch to zoom helps in puzzles where the objective is finding hidden items). Perhaps most importantly, the puzzles range from fairly easy to somewhat challenging but never days-on-end frustrating. I didn’t need hints at all and you are offered five free ones to stay with. The map is large and the story is much longer than I would have expected from a free game. The bonus chapter also has plenty to offer and it is not expensive. I purchased more hints as a way to support the dev before realizing the bonus chapter required payment but $5 did not seem excessive for the entire content. Certainly $2 or $3 for the bonus chapter is completely fair after you have played through the main game for free. I am already through half of the second game in the series and it is better than this one. So glad I found this series later on as I see there are many more sequels, and different series of games, from this developer. I look forward to spending hours with them all, keep them coming Five-BN!
