when looking for volunteer opportunities, I had trouble finding and contacting organizations. this app fixes that!! using the map, you can easily find different volunteer opportunities and sign up also if you’re in highschool applying to an honor society and you are obligated to complete service hours, this app can help you keep track of your hours. it is also very easy to get a letter of confirmation for your hours which is cool one recommendation I have would be to expand the range of volunteer opportunity locations. I know this won’t be easy but creating a submission box to recommend organizations (maybe even online ones?) I think would make the process easier. overall, the ui is pretty good and the volunteer opportunities are nice so you should give this app a try 🫶🫶 (oh and i ran into this issue, please confirm your email before trying to sign up for a volunteer opportunity, it will give you an error message lol)
I truly swear by this app. It’s been on my Home Screen for almost a year, back when my alumni network led to a Community Food Bank opportunity. That in turn has paved the way for many hours well spent, helping those less fortunate with less means in every way I can. With less effort than it takes to procure movie tickets nowadays (via similar user-friendly platform), you can browse listings in Hoboken / JC and do something that stays with you. It can build a sense of community, friendships, and incrementally lead to a profound sense of accomplishment. As to the app itself, ‘Quests’ are logged and can be adjusted with ease to conform to your schedule. It’s pretty easy to provide feedback, and I’m on browsing often multiple times a week. With dozens of engaging events tied to just Hoboken alone! So whatever encourages you, let it embolden you. This app could be that first step.
I previously left a 1 star review because I could not create an account. I emailed the developer and he responded very quickly, and gave me his cell. I called him, we walked through it, and since my issue persisted he created the account for me. Subsequently I found out that the problem was on my side, due to a work related WiFi restriction. So the app works great and Frank (the developer) was super helpful and patient with me.
