Cannon Shot!

I have a hard time trusting reviews because I have downloaded and played too many terrible games with ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+ Also, I very rarely leave reviews myself but I really wanted to give the creators of this game props. It is obvious they have learned from the mistakes of others and listened to the complaints. This game is super cute. I haven’t had it glitch at all, the animations and characters are super cute, I’m on level 172 and have had no repeated levels so far and best of all, NO ADS except optional ads if you want to change your cannon style or get new balls. I really appreciate not being forced to watch an ad every two mins (that’s a good way to insure an app is deleted within ten mins!) So thank you, those of you who created Cannon Shot!, I look forward to playing more of your games!

Way too many ads. Even for a free game. Most games let you go a few levels before an ad, but this one has an ad after EVERY level. Even when I choose not to watch a video for a free item, an ad will still play. True, I have the option to close it out before the full ad plays, but I still have to wait for the “X” or the “>>” to appear. Also, what’s the point of all the coins? I’ve obtained quite a loathe amount, but have no way to cash them in for anything. There is a shop option, but every time I press it, nothing happens. I feel like sitting through numerous ads to gain all those coins is for nothing because there’s no way to cash them in. The game is fun, but the ads and not being able to use coins make it a drag. The only way to play, short of paying for the ad free version, without ads is to turn off data and/or WiFi. Then it becomes another problem when given the opportunity to watch an ad for a new canon, or other items. Even if I switch the data or WiFi back on before the opportunity for an item video, the video won’t play.

I simply do not understand the trend for developers not including a level select screen in their games — especially with puzzles, in which you might want to try a level again if you could solve it better. Not to mention that you can’t share your game with anyone else without being locked out of any levels that they solve (unless you reset your progress, which can only be done by deleting and redownloading the app). I’m really not asking for much here, but it makes a big difference. Besides following that irritating trend, the game also follows another: in-game extras require sitting through 30-second ads, which often have second parts that require an additional wait before you’re able to return to the game. Even if I did have the time to spend on that, the extended interruption kills the momentum of the game. I’ve downloaded plenty of apps that I’ve learned about from 5-second ads. As far as I’m concerned, requiring the player to sit through these long ads actually disincentivises me both to look into the app being advertised and to keep the app that’s foisting the ad on me. Finally, this app is huge, it burns through battery like crazy, and it heats the phone up until it’s uncomfortable to hold. That’s both inconvenient for me and probably not good for the phone. So I might play around with this game for a little longer (it’s a good game, really!), but it’s not something I’m planning on keeping for the long term.
