I am a professional pilot but had never owned an airplane until now. I wanted something to track everything and also have considered having a co-owner or two in the future so I thought setting this up now would benefit me even more later. I’ve spent several hours imputing my aircraft’s logbook history. I have the single-user version so don’t have any of the financial aspects or scheduling to review but I would give 2 pieces of feedback to the developers so far. It would be great to be able to scan maintenance logbook entries in—not asking for it to find the dates, etc. and populate the boxes, but using my iPhone text scan just makes for terrible formatting and some errors in the “Notes” box for inspections. The other feedback is to make the dashboard editable. I don’t want to see widgets for which I have no subscription to. Maybe you can get rid of them but I couldn’t figure out how. And one more thing, the AD finder isn’t working now that the FAA switched their system. Keep working on this. It’s going to be a nice product but not quite worth $14/mo yet.
Our partnership paid the $360 for annual subscription. The idea is great, everything we need in one place: aircraft status, squawks, schedule, and payment balance. Could be great and totally worth it but as mentioned the app is somewhat buggy, not super user friendly. It feels like a website. Most frustrating aspect is the “accounting” function, it is almost useless, once a flight/charge/payment posts it is not editable, you have to use weird workarounds to get the balance to display correctly but then you have extraneous inputs in the system. If they put some extra work into the usability and functionality of the app it could definitely be worth it.
It’s a bit glitchy, when entering credit card info from a phone the entry field is covered by the soft keys (you cannot see what you are entering). On iPads there is no landscape mode. The service we are replacing is $20/mth and is just an asset scheduler and splitter (can be used for boats, houses, etc.) Coflyt has promise. I’ll keep it for a couple of months and update the review to give them the benefit of time to address some of the seemingly easy fixes.
