MobiMatter: eSIM Marketplace

I purchased the eSIM to be used in the US. It worked great for google maps and getting directions. In some places the internet was slow, and other times it worked great. It worked good when using WhatsApp and internet calls. The only problem I encounter was when surfing American websites. Because my network shows coming from Poland, I couldn’t access American sites that were restricted to only the US. In those cases I had to use a VPN which was a pain. So, if you only need to use it for directions, WhatsApp or internet calling thru an app, this app might work for you.

Traveling around the UK, Hungary, and Italy was made simpler with cheap data plan purchased through this app. I got a month and after it ran it was able to just use the “top up” button and reload data on my previously installed eSIM. Initial installation is easy but you have to pay attention a little bit to follow instructions. It’s not hard but it’s not a one button thing either. I installed mine then my girlfriend did hers without help.

I have bought a lot of SIMs from MobiMatter and generally I have been happy. I would like to say that the app needs notification improvements. Specifically, I have been getting a lot of irrelevant and annoying marketing notifications for various eSIMs that I don’t want from the MobiMatter app. So, I had to completely turn off notifications for the app but now I won’t get notifications about the eSIMs that I actually own (low data, expiration, etc.). I think it would be good to be able to choose what type of notifications you want to receive in the app (eg. Marketing offers, orders you placed, etc.) as many other apps have already done.
