Mobile Link Setup

The absolutely worst setup app I have ever used!!! Written step by step would have been much better. I am fairly computer literate but still had to search for the right app. Why not just provide setup instructions with the Wi-Fi module or at least instructions on how to download the setup app. Spend over an hour figuring out that was what o needed and also had to get a Wi-Fi extension to get to the generator. Most people (unless the generator is installed in their living room) will need and extender. And people who have the generator installed away from their house will need lots of equipment to get the Wi-Fi to the generator. Some sort of cable connection to the house Internet would make a lot more sense Sorry but the whole setup experience was really awful 👎👎

Very satisfied with the entire process from evaluation, estimate, installation, and performance. Everyone associated with my Generac purchase were professional, informative during the entire process, and went far above what would be expected or necessary. Scott Milller and his people at AMSCO are the very best. Each person followed through with everything they committed to for my satisfaction. During the installation a lightning bolt punctured a soft ball size hole in my roof. They even volunteered to make a temporary repair to my roof to minimize continuous damage. I cannot say enough great things about them.

This app sets up the hardware on generator. (1) Make sure that your WiFi node is within 5 feet of the generator because the generator WiFi broadcasts on a s.l.o.w 2.4 GHz signal. (2) Take photos of the model and serial numbers of the generator, WiFi, and transfer switch..you’ll need this information at the end of the app to register. (3) Down load the Mobile Link App. (4) After setup this App can be deleted.
