I can’t recall when or how I acquired these units, 4 in all and I must say that they made the holidays so much simpler with their timer feature. They were easy to pair and easy to program. I don’t know how secure the wifi connection is and since I only use them for Christmas lighting, I don’t see this as a big issue. Overall, I think they’re great.
Setup a bit slow. Bought two outdoor plugs but no way to change name, like plug 1 and 2. Can add nickname to one but it doesn’t show in app. Both plugs same name, not so good. It appears the app works well otherwise.
App quickly found the plugs Had to change to the 2.4ghz WiFi for a few then back to the 5g WiFi. App still controls the light so not a big issue I like the weather alert in the app!
