AppRent Payments

I started using this app back in April when I moved into my apartment complex. The app worked fine and I didn’t have any issues with it. Then, it stopped working entirely and I couldn’t pay my rent. An update was FINALLY made to it around December, and it started working again. Then, my phone updated, and the app is obsolete again. I log in, and it goes to an all white screen and I can’t do anything. Support is useless, as they don’t get back to you for WEEKS, even on time sensitive issues, and they provide absolutely no helpful information. They always tell me to talk to property management about the issue, even though the issue is with AppRent.

I’ve tried to pay my bill and they are charging me a 3% fee to submit my rent !!!! A EXTRA $30 ! So they try to get you, saying to activate your auto pay and it will take $10 off of your rent . So I’m like okay cool, $10 goes a long way . Once I found out that I had to pay $30 extra dollars to submit payment , I wanted to take my card off and it wouldn’t even allow me to 🤦🏽‍♀️ I was promised reward points , never received them from property or through app I submit maintenance request and maintenance doesn’t show up until 3 weeks later stating that it was never received on their end. It’s just a mess honestly .

Whoever is responsible for the maintenance of this app and even the creation should be fired. This app is so terrible. Nothing works. You may be able to log in once then when you try to use it again it’ll log you out then when you try to login it will say that you don’t have an account and that the password is incorrect even though it’s the password they provided with me when my apartment complex registered. This app is the reason many people have been on the verge of eviction and late fees from paying rent. It’s supposed to make it easier but actually makes it way more harder then it ever had to be. I’m not sure why apartments use it and I’m not sure how this app even is still in business because the customer service is trash like you’ve never even seen. This app is a fail.
