I tried many of these ‘Contact Duplicate’ remover programs to no avail, and this is the only one that I found that appears to actually work. I purposely duplicated hundreds of contacts and it successfully ‘weeded’ them correctly. I then did various other tests such as duplicate selective names and edited contacts to remove various attributes (i.e. email addresses and phone numbers) and the program functioned as expected. I have not tried backed up to vCard and/or .CSV yet as l used a third party program to back up iPad (6th generation) as I’ll be migrating to an iPad 11’(2018) Very pleased with what I’ve seen so far- was happy to pay the $1.99 to support this developer! Only caveat is that this program is clearly created for the iPhone but works fine with iOS 12- it has the icon in the lower right to size up to the bigger display. Make it work with cloud backup (i.e. Dropbox, OneDrive) and that would be great!
