As part of my birthday celebration, I joined the Fall Foliage Brunch Cruise on October 11, and it truly made my special day even more memorable! Sailing along the Hudson River, surrounded by vibrant autumn colors and the breathtaking landscapes, created the perfect atmosphere for a delightful celebration. One of the highlights was gliding under the iconic George Washington Bridge while taking in the serene beauty of the season—it was magical! While the food was just okay, the impeccable service more than made up for it. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of—a thoughtful touch that added to the joy of the occasion. The only hiccup was with our family photo. As part of the cruise’s photo session, we were the first group to have our picture taken, but it was unfortunately misplaced. While the photographer was apologetic and kindly retook the photo later, it was slightly disappointing that one of my sons and his family couldn’t be part of the picture due to timing. Nonetheless, the overall experience was lovely, and I’ll treasure the beautiful scenery and calm moments shared on my birthday. It’s a celebration I’ll always remember!

Very nice smooth ride , you can ride inside the boat or outside the boat and we all took a nap. Make sure to bring a blanket and a pillow. When we came back on the returning ferry, we were wet and we froze the whole way. Make sure you accommodate that the ferry will have a central air AC that works very well. Don’t be late be an hour early! Love PR they do everything with such class and respect!

I recently tried using the Hornblowers app to purchase ferry tickets, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. As someone who worked as a deckhand on the ferry in the past and have been riding the ferry for twenty years, I expected the process to be relatively straightforward. However, I found it incredibly difficult to navigate and purchase tickets through the app. First and foremost, the user interface of the app is confusing and not intuitive. It was challenging to find the right options and navigate through the various screens. The ticket purchasing process lacked clear instructions, leaving me frustrated and unsure of what steps to take. Additionally, the schedule provided on the app made no sense, even to someone with prior experience riding the ferry. The labeling of the ferry departures was confusing, and it was difficult to discern which direction the times were for. This lack of logical and clear labeling made planning a trip or understanding the available options an arduous task. Given my background as a deckhand on the ferry, I had hoped for a seamless experience, but unfortunately, the Hornblowers app fell short of my expectations. The app’s complexity and the confusing schedule left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I sincerely hope that Hornblowers addresses these issues and improves the app’s user interface and scheduling system. Clearer instructions, a more intuitive design, and a well labeled and logical ferry schedule would greatly enhance the user experience and make ticket purchasing a much smoother process. In its current state, I cannot recommend the Hornblowers app to others who are looking to purchase ferry tickets. Instead I recommend going out of their way and walking down to buy tickets.
