Super fun but some things could be better

I’ve had the game for 2 days now and it’s been super fun. The art styles great and I always want to come back and play more. There’s just a couple things that bother me. The movement is a little to limited. It would be nice to see a dash move to help dodge shots, hit enemies, or even just move through the stage. Even if it had a cool down it would make movement way better. The second issue I have is that bosses are pretty bland. I’d even say some bosses are easier than the small red dudes to defeat. Bosses having more moves would make the fights way more fun. Edit: After playing a little longer I’ve noticed two more things. First off moving and attacking opponents in the water is very annoying. The water just slows you down and is bothersome. Second, what do the upgrades even do? I know they’re labeled but I don’t see any difference, except for the health. The upgrades don’t really appear to change things. It’d be nice to see a difference in game, so rockets and eggs look different and a magnet shows up when you attract items to you. Also a better description of what each upgrade does would be nice and it tells you what changed when you upgraded. Edit 2: I’ve been playing for 3 days now and I’ve found another issue. Enemies should only shoot when on screen, I often get shot by off screen enemies that I can’t see and die. Also I’m excited to try out Super Fowlst 2 Those are my only issues with the game. Other than that the game is super fun and I would totally recommend it.

More scummy behavior from a scummy dev

Recently several developers have been enticed to join Playond’s shady subscription model by the promise of money. There’s of course nothing wrong with seeking ways to monetize your hard work, but apps that join Playond become locked to the service, rendering them unplayable unless you pay the weekly—yes, WEEKLY—subscription fee. For the record, at Playond’s current cost of $2.49, that comes out to roughly $130/year. And while this is bad enough for formerly free-to-play games like Super Fowlst (and if you paid for in-app purchases like new characters or an ad-free experience, you’re as out of luck as the rest of us), it’s even worse for paid apps like CatCup’s original Fowlst. Players who outright bought the app are now stuck unable to access their own purchase unless they fork over a weekly fee. Regardless of the sheer absurdity of that weekly subscription model, that’s a massive slap in the face to your existing consumer base. Devs that shackle their apps to the Playond service are thinking only of their own pockets, not of their customers, and they deserve nothing. We can only hope that Playond falls into financial ruin due to its ridiculous business practices in the very near future.

Super fun but hard

This game is totally awesome! I've never found an area that was the same as the last! Ads aren't popping up in your face at all and it's so satisfying to destroy the red dudes in every way possible. I only have 2 complaints. The first one is that when you lose hearts (you only have three), it takes a MIRACLE to get them back. Even if I smash every single crate in the area, finding something to replenish my health is extremely rare, so I die too easily. With how perilous some areas are (springs that send you helplessly bouncing off the walls combined with fire spots on the same walls within beating just a few levels), it becomes really frustrating to die so quickly and start over so many times. I try to watch an ad for a heart when I die but for me the ads don't load and the game freezes so I have to restart the app. My second complaint is, no matter how hard I try, I CANNOT beat the boss in area 9! Supposedly there are bosses further on, but I can't get past that one area! The boss is always huge, extremely fast, and disappears off the screen WHILE FIRING AT YOU!! Area 9 is so big that when the boss flies out of view, you NEVER know where it's gonna attack from next! If you want us to be able to enjoy the game and reach more levels, why make the very first boss be so hard? This game is addicting but since I can't get any further than the first boss, I'm feeling myself slowly lose interest.
