My ADHD makes it a struggle to keep myself on task, and gamifying habits and chores in this way has definitely been super helpful! Being able to customize your avatar and stats is also a fun way to add extra motivation to use the app. The problem is game portion eventually ends, and while the app is still useable as a to-do list and habit tracker, the extra motivation from the game is gone. Granted, it takes several months to get there, a point where I guess maybe neurotypical people will have developed the habits and therefore the developers thought it wouldn’t be necessary to keep going? For us neurodivergent people, it would be super helpful to be able to continue the game, even if it’s essentially just looping back to a first level copycat and boosting the monster stats accordingly. It would also be nice if we could customize the order of tasks and habits (including in the Today list) so you actually go down your list and truly develop a routine. I got the full paid version hoping this feature would be on there, but it wasn’t.
Exaaaaactlyyy what I’ve been looking for—long term goals, tasks, habit tracker all in one. I cannot recommend this app enough!! I downloaded it bc I’m moving and I needed a way to stay focused and motivated w each tedious step— and I LOOOOVEEE IT. Immediately bought the pro version to support keeping this app running smoothly. I’ve tried other gameified productivity apps and.. they’re just boring so I don’t care— I love that I have to complete tasks/ habits to get coins to fight monsters! It’s engaging enough to be motivating but not distracting— love, love, love. The ONLY thing I could think to add would be like a focus timer mini-thing— like a garden that grows veggies that can be used for health—like if I keep the app open and don’t touch my phone for a given time, I can grow a vegetable. Just a thought. I JUST started using this week and can’t wait to see my hero evolve. Please please please keep this app awesome— glad to pay for Pro version to support apps like this— THANK YOU!
I have always been a gamer and adventure by nature and I think the concept behind this App is Absolutely Brilliant! I really do feel it helps tremendously at structuring your day, completing “To Do” tasks and developing habits and I would love to see this app succeed and continue in its development. A couple suggestions I’d encourage for the developers; 1) the battle scenes could be a little more dramatic; I find the boost “advertisement break” absolutely kills the fighting experience. 2) I Loved meeting other characters in the game, but I wish there could be more interactions with them (maybe they could motivate you to accomplish some sort of personal development achievement and once completed they could help you on your quest; maybe give you bread and water for your journey = energy or let you trade for better weapons, magic spell or protection amulet). The Concept is Truly Brilliant and I think with a few tweaks it can be incredible
