Bring back the Vocab Challenge!

I love this app! Such a great way to learn vocab as it’s used naturally. The one thing that would be a great improvement would be if the Vocab Challenge that’s in the first two songs was in every song. It would be really nice to be able to go back to songs you’ve already done and do the challenge as a refresher/review. This was actually the feature that made me decide to pay to unlock more songs, so it’s a shame that it stops after the free ones. I still enjoy the app even without it, but would love it if it was added. Thanks for a great app!

Love it! Would pay a lot for Korean :)

Such a great app. Fun to play, and really makes vocabulary stick in my mind so much better than learning with out-of-context flashcards. (I do review the songs by singing them to myself or playing the challenge from time to time.) Memorizing song lyrics is also a very effective way to learn grammatical constructions for me. (“How do you do a counterfactual conditional in Spanish again? Oh right, Si yo tuviera un palacio...”) I’ve played all the lessons for German so far, and most of the Spanish and had a great time. The only reason I haven’t upgraded to premium is that my German level is intermediate and my Spanish level is advanced. I’ll probably pay when/if lessons at my level get made. But what I would absolutely pay for is lessons on Korean. I know there’s a big challenge, namely how to teach the Korean writing system through songs. But I can think of some ways to do it. Or maybe the lessons for Korean could start at upper beginner, and require that you’ve already learned to read.

Unique and fun, from someone striving to be fluent

It is a goal of mine to be conversationally fluent in Spanish. I work every week with a tutor and she says that I should listen to songs in Spanish and pay attention to the grammar, the vocabulary, stuff like that to make myself more culturally aware while practicing Spanish. But honestly, it’s a lot of work to find songs, listen to them, and analyze them like that. This app is an awesome way for me to do that kind of practice in a super accessible format. It’s a fantastic idea, a really unique app, and a great avenue for getting deeper in spanish learning. My listening comprehension is improving, I’m picking up common vocabulary used in popular Spanish music, and I’m practicing grammar all at the same time. I wouldn’t recommend it for a total beginner in spanish learning, but give it a shot no matter what level you’re at. If anything, it will introduce you to a host of fun and popular Spanish songs.
