Terrarium: Garden Idle

A girl suggested this on Tik Tok and so I decided to check it out. I have been super bored during quarantine and I just wanted something to do, I opened up the app and it looked fun the girl said you grow little plants and it sounded cute-ish I started to enjoy it after I had about two or three plants and it’s really easy to play, although if you’re someone impatient this game might not be for you. You do have to wait for your oxygen points to supply which doesn’t take very long but if you can’t stand that you might want to go into this game with some money. How the game works is you start off with some oxygen points and you plant your little plants those plants make oxygen and you use those oxygen points to upgrade how much oxygen your plants makes and buy more plants which make more oxygen and so on you can also do other things like decorate your potters and you can buy all kinds of different cute plants right now I am enjoying their three day free trial of VIP but you can survive the game without it I was just taking advantage of the fact that it was there. If there are some weird errors in here, I wrote it with voice typing 😆

I don’t usually write reviews, but I love this game so much. It’s relaxing and satisfying, with the oxygen bubble thingies floating up, and I like how it doesn’t ask you to pay real money, and how the boosters only take at most 5 minutes to reload, unlike other money-related / growing games that take hours or even days. It’s fairly simple to upgrade the plants (at least until you pass the heart fern), and they’re pretty and aesthetically pleasing. I’ve wanted a game where it’s not so fast-paced and you can wait a bit to get money. I can drain all of my oxygen, come back in an hour, and I’ll have enough to upgrade a few plants, and more than enough after I use the boosters. The only downsides are the ads, which I’ve found only pop up after the last level-up (when you don’t have enough oxygen to level up again). This isn’t much, and it’s certainly less than most games. Also, most of the ads let you skip them after a few seconds, and only ones that last 30 seconds are the ones you deliberately use to reload the boosters. So anyway, as the title of this review states, if those playing the game want to DELETE PLANTS (I know what you mean, with the snake plant only producing 61), there is a green cross of arrows in the top left corner of the screen, next to the settings button. It’s a move tool. If you press on a plant, there is an option to store it (just drag it into the small cardboard box on the bottom left). It’s not deleting, but it’s better, in a way. I honestly do like this game. I think that the quality is nice, and it doesn’t have too many ads. I only have a few suggestions. 1.) It would be great if instead of having to tap the ‘level up’ button, once you’ve reached the amount of experience/oxygen it would automatically level up for you. If you don’t notice that you need to level up straightaway, it’s kind of just letting the oxygen go to waste, almost, instead of it benefitting you, if you know what I mean. 2.) Deleting plants. It was a little frustrating when I realized I couldn’t do this; I had like 5 snake plants that were just taking of shelf space and only producing 61 oxygen each. Maybe, if you had 2 or more of the same plant you could merge them and have it produce double the oxygen that it was creating before, or something like that. 3.) Also, just a suggestion, but I think it would be cool if you could customize it a little more. Like choosing the background, and the color of the pots, and the shape of them. It would just add a little more of a personalized feel to the game. I haven’t had the trouble of plants disappearing, like I see some others have. I got the app just after the update, so the issue has probably been fixed. I just wanted to say that I really enjoy this game and I hope it keeps improving, while keeping the same structure.
