Reviews: What People Think About HerbList

As a pharmacist, I like that I can quickly use this at work if a patient has a question about an herbal supplement and I feel comfortable recommending this app to my patients. However it would be more helpful if they also characterized the herbs by disease state, for example, showing the herbs that may be helpful for insomnia.

I’m very disappointed about this app as it offers nothing new to my current understanding about plants being used as treatment for various diseases. Of course, none of the information found here is useful towards treatment options for people looking for more affordable ways to treatment various illnesses and diseases. Why? Because America has been bought out by the pharmaceutical industry. You think if a drug maker found a way to treat the flu or hepatitis that is 1000 fold cheaper than what’s available in the current market would make that information available to the general public? Of course not! They’d be out of business and neither would they put the money towards very cheap ways to treat diseases because the pharmaceutical industry is business. Research in the United States is business, if there’s no profit motive to be made, why even bother? Welcome to the United States. The country where greed rules over the less fortunate.

I came here from their Instagram account. I loved NCCIH’s Herbs at a Glance. It is very helpful. Only Trouble was I had to use my browser every time I looked up something. And it took time to load. BUT this app is even better! I can learn about dietary supplements, safety effectiveness etc. all in ONE app! It also lets me work offline (which is great because my i often don’t have connectivity in my supermarket and tags where I purchase most of my herbal supplements!!!!) thanks for this app NCCIH!
