SHIFT – Carsharing & Chauffeur

I really miss Shift’s Chauffeur service in Jeddah, the cars were always clean, the drivers professional, and the rides felt safe and fairly priced. Thank you for providing such a reliable service in the past, it truly made a difference. It’s disappointing that Shift left the market here, and I truly hope the company considers coming back to Jeddah soon.

The best thing about this app is the drivers. The app itself is hard to use, glitchy at times. The drivers though are so helpful and much more professional than any other similar app. I don’t know why the cancellation option says “Driver took too long” like it’s the driver’s fault for being so far away or that there’s so much traffic. I’d replace it with “wait time too long” or “Driver was too far” or something.

1. Drivers are professional and polite, but often don’t know where they’re going, rely on google maps instead of route planned on Shift app, and get lost, which costs time and money. 2. Once you get familiar with a driver who knows you and where you’re going, if often use them as I do, they deliberately cancel him for another new driver that doesn’t, which costs more time and money. 3. Always quick to up charge when drivers get lost and cost you time and money. 4. Often claim you didn’t pay charge previously and lock you out until you pay again, double charging you. 5. Never credit you, even though place for it in app., when trip costs less than charged or promise to do so if you raise complaint about double charge. 6. Expect to be take. Advantage of and ignored by customer service, if you can reach them.
