I have a roughly 3 year old M3 corpus chair. I just downloaded the app but it says “no chair in range” I’m sitting in the chair the joystick panel is less than 2ft from my tablet and I’ve turned on/off the blue tooth as well as the power to the chair itself. Is my chair too old for the app? I love my chair so I figured this would be a great app but at the moment I’m rather disappointed. 😭

The app seems to have improved greatly since I first started using it a year ago. At first, there were occasional log-in and freezing problems, where the data from the wheelchair would not update. Now I use the app frequently. I find that the predictive battery range is now very accurate, at least with my M5, certainly more accurate than just relying on the green, yellow and red battery indicators on the hand controller display. Sometimes I log in to the app after I have gone to bed, just to confirm that my chair has been plugged into the charger, and is charging properly. Besides telling me my chair is charging, it also tells me what time the batteries will be 100% charged. The Permobil Support team has been very responsive when I have reported issues.

Overall very pleased with the functionality, amount of information and user-friendly design of this app for my Permobil F5. This app is very similar to the mobile apps for electric vehicles. Very helpful to gauge remaining battery capacity before heading out along with the GPS functionality is also nifty. Had a few hiccups getting activated but was squared away with Permobil support in short order.
Feedback for future deployments would be to add ability to lock and unlock wheelchair remotely to prevent unauthorized use.
