There is no information about any of the plants listed in the app. All that is listed is literally “Lorem ipsum...” Other than naming the system, what’s the point? I can’t change the name of the garden once I select it? There’s only one function of the app and I can’t edit the name? Still appears to be going through a brainstorming stage. Does it do anything other than identify the garden? I don’t think it’s “controlling” the garden at all. I would not have launched this app.
The process of adding a Tregren Smart Garden to the app and selecting one of the pre-configured programs is very simple. No pairing of devices needed or anything. But it is the app’s very simplicity that lets it down. Having selected a program there is no information about the schedule and settings that it will use, and whether they will vary over time - so you have no way of knowing whether the light being on 24/7 is as intended, or a glitch. Also there are many areas of the app which are still populated with placeholder ‘garbage text’. Now that the hardware has been delivered Tregren really need to put some effort into the app and complete their plans.
Wow, this app calks already Version 2.0 but should be Beta 0.2 instead. All information behind plants is filled with loremipsum placeholders, neither there is any way to see or set anything to control the light or waterpump. Very disappointing especially bu considering the product itself is very expensive. I expected that the price was paying for an excellent software
