So I will start by saying. I love the app. I love the ability to have a private diary for your own archives. But one thing I do wish this app has is the ability to expand photos to full screen mode that way I don’t have to use two hands punching my way around the screen. Please developers make that happen as soon as you can. All and all great app. Nice to to have for documentation purposes.

This is my 5th year logging on this app and everything about the app has been very user friendly. I log what grow in my garden each summer so I could reference what I did. Benefiting my garden more and more each year. Sharing your log with people who don’t have the app is very useful as it’s fun to share and hear opinions. The developer of the app is hands on within the community of growers looking for ways to better the app which I appreciate. The online community of this app is also very helpful. You do have the option to keep your logs private for those who are paranoid. I have 3 stars because even tho I really like this app I believe it could be better. Maybe video posting options, a member to member rating feature determining how helpful and knowledgeable they are. Special Thanks to the developer!

The app itself is cool. You can track various grows, update with multiple pictures at a time, keep notes, etc. It has plenty of features you’d expect from a plant journaling app. There are some bugs and memory leaks, but overall it’s pretty decent.In theory, the social aspect could be really cool, and sometimes it is. However, it’s completely unmoderated with a report button that seems to do nothing. As such, the community being small as it is, has a handful of users who continually grief and troll each other either on their own posts or in the comments of other users’ journals. I’m talking they will go at it for 40+ messages back and forth sometimes bickering, sometimes name calling, sometimes calling each other pedophiles, sometimes saying they’d kill them in real life, sometimes slinging homophobic slurs, sometimes racial ones. It’s a shame because there’s really a lot to like here, and it could be fixed by giving power to the community to either block these users or to remove them when they arise. Unchecked though, and without features to empower the individual to remove particular users from their experience, the social portion of the app is unusable. Every day, without fail, you will see posts that have nothing to do with plants, and bickering, trolling, name calling and generally childish, annoying behavior. It’s a small group, but their effect is cumulative and destructive. With so many other, better communities like Overgrow, there’s zero reason to endure this nonsense with no real recourse.
