War and Peace: Civil War

I’ve been playing for one year and three months. The game play started to shift when I first started playing and has continued to change it seems every two months after and the most recent update here recently. Some of the initial changes really affected newer players and made it difficult to grow and compete unless you spent more money to build your fort faster and research. And then the rest of the changes continue to put new players at a disadvantage. It does seem that the developers analyze ways players are enjoying the game or developing and then create an update that either takes it away or creates a wall that slows the development without spending money. I’d hate to see new players waste their time and money but if you enjoy the slow pace and wanting a game you can spend several hours messing around farming, building or attacking monsters being distracted from life than maybe this game is for you. If I had to work weekends or night shift and looking for a distraction then this game is definitely for you. Last fyi - the beginning of the game is dumb but it’s trying to help you understand building a fort. It’s not the actual game for a bit but eventually will drop you in a state for actual game play. Stay shielded. If your shield drops you will be hit and lose all your progress. For example, I zeroed a guy this weekend who probably spent 6 months building troops because he dropped shield. He hasn’t been on since then so I assume he’s mad at losing the progress and probably quit. If you start - state 40-50 are your more recent established states. Don’t pick a state that is so dead or loaded with humongous forts. I gave the game a two star for all those reasons and mostly due to the developers - you’ll understand that part if you play for a bit.

I’m so happy I gave this game a chance! Most of these reviews only explain from one side, but I’m here to provide a positive perspective for those who are considering downloading this app. There are definitely good people if you’re able to find them. I am very fortunate in that I found a good group right away. I’m extremely glad that there are descriptions giving a quick background on the members of the team. I recommend avoiding ones that specifically state their expected participation unless you are someone who enjoys that kind of procedure. Otherwise, it’ll only make the game less desirable for you. I love this game very much and hope you will too once you truly give it the opportunity to show you how fun it can be! I thank the developers for their continued dedication to the app and will absolutely keep playing and being a loyal part of the community!

When the game is running properly, The concept of the game is a lot of fun! You can have fun for free, But a small amount is well worth the return for the entertainment. With that said, lately the game has been plagued with frustrating glitches. In previous instances I have had problems where I suffered big losses on troops, Customer service seemed to always do the right thing and replace if it was their fault. However, lately, the game has been giving bad information like a base appears to be unshielded, When you port over and hit attack button troops march but nothing happens. Come to find out the base was shielded. This is frustrating because Teleports are not cheap. Vital information like KILL count aren’t accurate. So one that is on the fence for an attack, might use kill count as deciding factor. Right now you can’t do that, It’s inaccurate. Basically, What has happened in the past few months is people who normally attack are now second guessing everything and the mid power bases are now scared to do anything because of lack of Intel. Right now it’s the worst I’ve seen it. And it seems as if Customer Care is really backed up with tickets that they just fly through them, not reading entire complaint. Which is understandable considering the amount of glitches. But doesn’t help people that have spent a fair amount. With that said the game could be 5 stars, and would probably be a 3 Star game, but because it has a trend of getting worse in the past month, and customer service has dropped its level of care, I dropped the rating, giving it 2 stars.
