I downloaded this app after seeing it suggested on a knitting blog. I have used it ever since. I’ve tried other apps for keeping track of my knitting and crochet projects but this one is far and away the best. The features are fabulous and the visuals are great.. as a visual person, this is important to me. I love that there’s a quick counter if you don’t want to create a project but you can also do multiple counters within projects. There’s a yarn stash feature to keep track of what yarn you have and what you’re using on projects… this will even scan barcodes so you don’t have to manually enter yarn details (this doesn’t always work but I appreciate that it does sometimes). I recently found that the counter can be used via my Apple Watch which is the just icing on the cake. I never write reviews for apps but this one is so fabulous that I wanted to. My only suggestion to the developers is that I wish you could drag the notes on projects to reorder them. Other than that, I think the creators of this app have thought of everything! I’d give it more stars if I could!

This app is great for keeping track of your WIPs and your yarn stash. I love that it has multiple features that come in handy for your projects, tools, and yarn. I would like to note that with the dark mode feature it is very difficult to see text. I’m personally an all dark mode all the time kind of person but I have to keep this app in light mode so that I can read what’s written on the page :/ not a huge problem though and it doesn’t overshadow all the excellent features this app has. I noticed that there are several different options within the “other” tab when selecting the type of project you’re working on—I would love to see an option for tatting in there as well! My main WIP right now is a needle-tatted doily and I’ve filled out the info for it as best as I can, but I’d love to be able to accurately categorize the project itself as well as the thread and needle that I’m using :)

Personally I love apps. I love researching apps for a purpose and trying them all. I had been using "My Row Counter" for a while and it's just never improved and reminds me of using clipart (totally understand small developer issues). YarnBuddy is just amazing. It's delightful visually and in function. Take a moment to learn to know all the little areas of the app. I also appreciate the Mac App AND iPhone. I don't like being limited to a device. I love that I can be more efficient especially as a new user, to load my yarn collection details and patterns into the app faster than doing it from my phone. I love the multiple row counters on a project. (wish I could name my counters, but there is color coding). * Wish I could add a custom note when uploading a Project. * Wish I could add a custom hook size if missing on the list (didn't have a 4.25 for crochet option) * I do wish the filter would STICK to what I set it to (all projects - if you can't find a project you uploaded it will only show based on what you selected: Current, Future, etc.). * I also cannot figure out if the one time fee or monthly covers both IOS & Mac versions.
